NYC Pride, Sun., June 24: Join the Amida Care Team!

 

Dear Amida Care Members,

For the third year in a row, we’re assembling an Amida Care team to march in the NYC LGBTQ Pride March on Sunday, June 24.  Amida Care Members, and their family and friends, are invited to march with our team. All marchers will receive a 2018 Amida Care Pride t-shirt to wear as well as an official wristband that will enable you to access the March Meetup site.

This year, there are a few changes:

• The route is different – Our team will meet at 16^th Street between 8^th and 9^th Avenue and the March ends at 29^th Street and 5^th Avenue. Plan to arrive between 4 – 4:30 pm, and note that there will likely be a wait time of one to two hours until we step off, so wear comfortable shoes!
• As noted above, you must wear a wristband to gain access to the March.

(We hope to give all our marchers a chance to ride on Amida Care the float, but please note that space on the float is limited, so there’s no guarantee.)

The March theme this year is “Defiantly Different!” which aligns with Amida Care’s theme, “Be Yourself…with PRIDE!” The March supports diversity and human rights—principles that Amida Care values deeply. We hope you’ll consider taking part in this exciting celebration that is so meaningful and important to the LGBTQ community and many of the members we serve.
